WHAT IS A PREMIUM?

When you buy a general insurance policy or any insurance for that matter, you pay monthly, quarterly, half yearly, or annual premium. This premium clubs with the premiums of many hundreds and thousands of other policyholders and makes an enormous pool of premium.

This pool of premiums is used to help you up to the limit you have selected in your policy, if you happen to be affected by an unexpected calamity like severe weather or accident.
